Concept Life Sciences provide an unrivalled range of routine and specialist analytical capabilities for the Air, Environmental, Food, and Pharmaceutical sectors. Our skilled and experienced scientists provide high quality results, rapid turnaround times and expertise in developing new methods. This is supported by dedicated project managers, readily accessible online LIMS and a bespoke courier service.

Our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation to enable fast, efficient, and accurate data with a design that can accommodate high sample numbers with attention to detail, efficiency, and safety. We understand industry demands and are committed to providing analytical services of the highest standard.

We hold an extensive scope of UKAS and MCERTs accreditation for the analysis of samples collected from Air Quality / Occupational Hygiene surveys, Occupational Health assessments and Site Investigation / Remediation projects. We have significant experience in the analysis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, from method development and validation through to sample analysis. This includes validated methods for surrogates such as Lactose, Mannitol, Naproxen and
well-characterised generic API molecules. Our fleet of HPLC and UHPLC-MS, MS/MS instrumentation provides suitably low limits of detection appropriate for the OELs of increasingly potent active pharmaceuticals.

Today and in the future, people must develop the energy resources needed to power progress while preserving the health of the planet.

For Shell that means: More energy. Cleaner energy. A smarter, more efficient use of energy.

Demand for energy is expected to double in the first half of this century. By 2050, there will be 9 billion people on the planet, 2 billion more than today.

Hundreds of millions will begin to use computers, drive cars, fly for the first time.

A changing world will need a broad mix of energy. Renewable sources such as biofuels, wind and solar will become increasingly important. And fossil fuels will play a key role, providing around two-thirds of the world’s supply in 2050.

Shell will help meet this future demand. For over 100 years our yellow-and-red emblem, the Pecten, has stood for the safe, responsible delivery of energy.

And a pioneering spirit. Using innovative technologies, we produce more than 3 million barrels of oil and natural gas every day. We operate safely in some of the world’s toughest conditions: in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico, in the subarctic temperatures of Russia’s far east, in the deserts of the Middle East.

Energy for the future must be cleaner. We deliver cleaner-burning natural gas to more countries than any other energy company, and our fuels and lubricants are increasingly efficient. We help produce low-carbon biofuel. And the petrochemicals we produce help make many everyday items: from clothes to shampoo, to plastics for essentials such as computers and cars.

Energy, in so many forms, sustains our daily lives.

Casella provide innovative monitoring technology for the benefit of worker and community health. This includes sound level meters, noise dosimeters, air sampling pumps and new calibrator, real time dust analysers, hand vibration instruments and site boundary monitors. Connectivity is a common theme across Casella’s products, providing remote access to measurement data either via the web or mobile platforms.

The dBadge2™ personal noise dosimeter, Apex2™ with class beating performance and Airwave™ App ‘connected’ products feature Bluetooth™ connectivity to enable remote measurement without having to disturb the worker. The Airwave™ App allows summary data, photographs and notes to be emailed from the field to increase productivity for busy hygienists or safety professionals.

Casella will be demonstrating the New Flow Detective™ air sampling pump calibrator, which measures to within 2% accuracy and with Bluetooth connectivity enables calibration results to be sent directly via the Airwave App to email. The Flow Detective™ indicates if air flow pulsation exceeds 10% to adhere to ISO 13137 and can be used with any manufacturers’ air sampling pumps.

Casella also wish to invite all delegates attending the BOHS annual conference (OH2018) to the Casella Social. This will be hosted at the Shakespeare Street Cocktail Bar Stratford upon Avon and will be an ideal opportunity to network and relax.
