HSL

Biography

Samantha Hall is an exposure and control scientist with the Health and Safety Laboratory, investigating airborne and skin and surface occupational exposures. She is currently developing her skills and experience in areas of research related to advanced manufacturing methods and brings her experience as a former physics teacher. The work she will present summarises the results of collaborative research between the multidisciplinary HSL team of exposure, control, measurement and health scientists; a manufacturing Catapult centre; and large engineering companies. Her other recent research projects include a study of emissions from affordable 3D printers commonly in use in the education sector, and the development of a PPE assessment tool using fluorescence visualisation techniques.
