Peter Baldwin



Peter has 24 years experience as an occupational hygienist at Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL). Peter is a senior scientist in the HSL Occupational Hygiene Practitioners team. Peter has performed research in exposure measurement techniques, including inhalation and dermal. Peter is a member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS)  Faculty of Occupational Hygiene and holds the BOHS Diploma. He holds the status of Chartered Hygienist and Chartered Physicist. Peter has also won the BOHS Ted King prize.

He has extensive experience carrying out exposure assessments all industrial sectors. This work was performed for HSL customers for compliance assessment, auditing and research. Peter has regularly presented at BOHS conferences, trade associations and health and safety groups.

Peter’s recent work has included silica exposure assessment and the development of an intervention strategy to reduce exposures in brick manufacturing and an international project on REACH compliance for a multinational company.
